Geneva.- It’s in the famous European city of the International Institutions, located on the bank of the lake Leman, that 11 volunteers of the Geneva Say No To Drug Association of  gathered to do a lightning raid drug prevention and information operation,  distributing no less than 13,200 booklets The Truth About Drugs  in one day  either in the 460 shops or as hand-out to the passer-bys around the Cornavin train station. The booklets informing on the short and long term effects of the 14 most used drugs, including alcohol and cannabis got a great success  among the youth and the public, whether a pharmacist or this mother who called back to say that her son thanks to the booklet she gave to him, stopped, in a few days, to smoke...

Drug Free Europe participated in Vienna at the extraordinary Session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs...

The participants joined the commitment of 60th CND Session: the diamond session, to keep protecting people from harmful effects of drugs. The Foundation for a Drug Free Europe (FDFE), attended the 60th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime More than 1500 representatives of Member States,  international organizations, associations and members of the Civil Society were present at the CND and attending  hundred of side events. Strasbourg, 15 March 2017 The Commission is today proposing a new EU Action Plan on Drugs for the period 2017-2020. Building on the findings of the evaluation of the EU Drugs Strategy for 2013-2020 and the Action Plan for 2013-2016, the new Action Plan on Drugs provides a strengthened response to the newly-emerging health and security challenges in the area of illicit drug use and trafficking. Espana Sin Drogas – Madrid – 2016...

During the year 2016 the Spain association of Madrid  was very active in delivering drug prevention activities in different fields to raise the awareness of the youth and public on the dangers of drug consumption, such as: distribution of the booklets La VerdadSobre Las Drogas (The Truth About Drugs) in the streets, during football celebrations, organizing street concerts and delivering lectures in schools. Recently a new activity started: a weekly radioshow interview made on the subject of drugs. In addition a new drug prevention group started in the North of Spain in Vitoria and soon, in the coming months, there will be additional groups ready to deliver the message in Andalucia and in Aragon....

Civic associations Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life Czech organized 12 days long the biggest antidrug campaign Cyclo-run for drug free Czech republic 2016 which is associated with sport promoting a life without drugs and enjoys a high level of attention from the media. The 14th volume of the campaign, held 13.6. – 24.6. 2016, aimed to highlight the LONG-STANDING NEGLECT OF DRUG EDUCATION in Czech republic, especially regarding the highest risk group – secondary school students (children between 10-15 years of age). REASON WHY – It is estimated that in the Czech republic there are 300,000 teenagers between the age of 15 and 19 who have already had an experience with an illegal drug.
