20 Years of Drug Prevention in Europe

FDFE was founded in March 2004, in Sweden, as a non-profit organisation. FDFE had along the years organized many side-events in Vienna during the CND Sessions. This year this is an  overview of the different main actions that were done in Europe by the hundred of Say No To Drugs associations and groups to raise the awareness of the youth and public on the harmful effects of illegal drug use. This is done in cooperation with our partner the Fundacion para la Mejora de la Vida, la Cultura y la Sociedad (Spain), part of the National Registry of Foundation of Spain, and in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2019.  More on: https://mejorandolasociedad.org/

The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) of the United States was established in 1946 by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to assist its supervising of the application of the international drug control treaties. The Commission contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. 2024 will be the 67th session of its activities. Foundation for a Drug-Free Europe was formed in March 2004 with the firm purpose of preventing and stopping debilitating drug use through educating non-users concerning the harmful effects that drugs can inflict upon the body, mind and personality, and by finding and directing existing users to programmes that can help them achieve comfortable abstinence for life.
