When knowledge protects

Belgium.-On Sunday 13/06/21, the Say No To Drugs (SNTD) team went to the town of Steenokkerzeel located in the Flemish Region (province of Flemish Brabant) and set up a very visual topaze colored tent at the weekly market which took place from 8 am to 12 am, on a sunny day.

Steenokkerzeel is a municipality resulting from the merger of the former municipalities of Steenokkerzeel, Melsbroek and Perk as could be seen on the coat of arms of the city.

This Sunday, on the market, the SNTD team had the privilege to receive the visit of the Mayor who appreciated their action of informing on the danger of drug use.

The booth received many visitors from different ways of life, organisations and businesses, all congratulating the team for their drug prevention activity. Thus, aside the distribution of about 350 booklets mainly on alcohol and cannabis, about 20 booklet sets* were given to parents and concerned grandparents, teachers and also 2 Educator Guides and 1 Documentary DVD were taken. In addition, several contacts were made for a follow up.

And a youngster who smokes Cannabis said he will read the booklet and then decide!    A useful informative Sunday booth on a sensitive subject with a positive feedback from the public.
