26 June: Lausanne in action for the U.N. International Day Against Drugs...

The 14 volunteers of the Say No To Drugs Lausanne were very active to celebrate the U.N. International Day Against Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. 26 June, a date chosen since 1988 to commemorate the dismantling of the opium  trade in China,  leading to the First Opium War. Aware that too many youth, parents and people had never been really informed on the harmful effects of the drugs on health, memory and skills, they decided to increase their  action.  With their booklets The Truth About Drugs 9 volunteers of the association went to the train station of Fribourg (in the French part of Switzerland) where they handed out no less than 1200 educative booklets on the 14 drugs the most used, including cannabis, alcohol and prescription drugs. OSCE* Conference 10-11 July 2017...

Nexus Between Illicit Drugs, Organized Crime and Terrorism The FDFE representatives from Brussels and Vienna attended the 2017 OSCE-wide Conference on Combating the Threats of Illicit Drugs and the Diversion of Chemical Precursors held in the “Neuer Saal” of the Hofburg, former Imperial palace, in Vienna (Austria). About 54 States Delegations, Partners for Co-operation, and 28 International Organizations, Academic and Business Circles and Non-Governmental Organizations were participating together with Members of the OSCE Secretariat and OSCE Institutions to the 3 sessions, with the following themes: 1. Vienna – Drug free expression for the 26 June...

In the city of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Sag Nein Zu Drogen (Say No To Drugs) Austrian team celebrated the U.N. International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking by offering to the passers-by information on drugs and the possibility to freely express themselves on the subject with art paintings. Whether adults or children, boys or girls, many took this opportunity to express a bold No To Drugs. Geneva celebrates the 26 June

To celebrate the 26 June United Nations International Day on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the 11 volunteers of the Geneva Say No To Drug team held booths and visited no less than 300 shops of the city.  Following the dramatic 2017 World Drug Reports of the UNODC* and of the EMCDDA*, their purpose was to do a big educative campaign on the harmful effects of the 10 drugs the most used. Citizens Initiative on 26 June for a Drug-Free Greece...

  The “Citizens Initiative for a Drug-Free Greece” team of volunteers distributed hundreds of anti-drug booklets on Sunday, June 25th at Sintagma Square, relaying their message for the International Day against Drug Abuse, which has been determined by the United Nations to take place on June 26th. The distribution had a great impact on people’s response and many people asked for more booklets, so that they could pass them to their friends. Our volunteers distributed more than 1,000 booklets within an hour, thus promoting the message of the international drug prevention program The Truth About Drugs, a program which is implemented in many countries and it meets great success.
