We meet Jan, one of the volunteers of the association Rekni Ne Drogam – Rekni Ano Životu (Say No To Drugs – Say Yes To Life) in the Czech Republic, delivering in different schools of Zlin prevention lectures about the dangers of drug use.
Zlin, the regional capital of Moravia, is located southeast of Prague and its existence dates back to 1332. It is under the impulse of Tomas Bata (the famous brand of shoes) that from 1894 the city will develop and then take the current architectural aspect both modern and functional.
Thus, Jan was able to educate young people of 6th, 7th and 9th grades who showed great interest and had relevant questions on the subject. This was done in an interactive way to their great satisfaction and that of their teachers.
Among the older of these classes, lot of them were already smoking marijuana, using e-cigarettes and nicotine patch.
After the lecture some of them came to the lecturer and said that they will never use this again!
Altogether Jan in 3 schools of Zlin, delivered 7 lectures to some 250 youth that were provided with 1070 booklets from the series The Truth About Drugs.
As a conclusion: Youth just need information to make proper decision!
