Based on the success encountered last year, our colleagues from Dico No Alla Droga  launch on 30 June 2019 the 2nd edition of the Moto Raduno around the beautiful Lake Iseo. The Lake Iseo with crystal clear water is located in the north of Lombardy near Brescia and Bergamo. It is surrounded by several medieval towns in an beautiful environment with lush green mountains. And to increase the pleasure of the ride, a road had been carved into the mountain enabling to circumnavigate the entire lake ! All the motorbike riders and lovers from Italy and anywhere from Europe or World are welcome! Indeed last year more than a hundred riders participated and this was relayed on local TV, radio and newspapers. There were incredible machines, you even cannot think of.      ...

FDFE at OSCE*

On 3-4 June 2019 in the famous palace Hofbug in Vienna (Austria) was held, under the Chairmanship of Slovakia, the 2019 OSCE-wide Conference on Combating the Threats of Illicit Drugs and the Diversion of Chemical Precursors. The topic was: Evolving Threat of Synthetic Drugs: from Addiction to Rehabilitation and Reintegration. Some 113 Ministers, Ambassadors, Representatives of world Governments, the Holy See,* International Agencies such as UNODC*, INCB*, EUROPOL*, DEA*,OSCE, SELEC*, the European Union,* were attending including a few selected NGOs among which FDFE. FDFE was invited to deliver a presentation about the importance of prevention to combat the drug problem. This was done by the FDFE Representative in Vienna (Austria) who intervened during the Session IV: Cross-cutting Issues. Enforce the law before saying it doesn’t work!  This is the position of the Association Say No to Drugs – Geneva. Prevention is the first of the four pillars clearly set out in the Narcotic Drugs Act (LStup)*.   It is precisely on prevention that the association Say No to Drugs – Geneva has been working for about twenty years. To strengthen its action, it is launching a one-month poster and brochure distribution campaign on May 8, 2019, using the Geneva Transports (TPGs) as a support. Inside the vehicles: spots and displays filled with brochures. Outside: posters. With, for those who feel concerned, all the information and access contact to the association’s website. No « Pot » in France

In March 2018 in Switzerland was accepted the « legal cannabis »with maximum 1% THC . In October 2018 in Canada was legalized the use and the selling of cannabis as being a responsible and fair policy act to prevent the black market * which, by the way, has already organized parallel markets! The sad point is that this legalization was done despite several Canadian medical body warnings. Indeed, a large percentage of suicide attempts among young people in their twenties are related to cannabis use, says the University of Montreal. In addition, these legalizations are in violation of the three International Drug Control Conventions** according UNODC and INCB (2019).
