The “Citizens Initiative for a Drug-Free Greece” team of volunteers distributed hundreds of anti-drug booklets on Sunday, June 25th at Sintagma Square, relaying their message for the International Day against Drug Abuse, which has been determined by the United Nations to take place on June 26th.

The distribution had a great impact on people’s response and many people asked for more booklets, so that they could pass them to their friends. Our volunteers distributed more than 1,000 booklets within an hour, thus promoting the message of the international drug prevention program The Truth About Drugs, a program which is implemented in many countries and it meets great success. Young people learn the effects of the drugs and they get their own decisions to lead a drug-free life.
