In the frame of the implementation of the 2016 UNGASS document to counter the world drug problem, the Say No To Drugs (SNTD)Team of Czech Republic, continues his prevention actions and on August 17 held a booth at the entrance of the Music Festival Horka Kase in Novy Jicin city. This was done with the support of the festival organizer eager to protect the youth attending the festival. And this was a good way to contact and discuss on the drug subject with many youngsters. They were, more than we think, interested to have serious and objective data about this subject. The discussion with the youth was all the more interesting as one of the volunteers, Jan, had been taking drugs for few years before deciding to stop and be successfully rehabilitated. His testimony was really impinging on the young attendees. Meanwhile the team of volunteers distributed 1800 booklets The Truth About Drugs.

The day after, the team went to the city Novy Radov, invited by the main organizer and also chief of the Youth Camp Radoff. In front of no less than 120 youth and some of their teachers, the SNTD in-charge delivered an extensive lecture on the drugs and why they are harmful. These data again were made more real to the young audience by the personal Jan’s experiences on drugs. The lecture was very interactive as some teenaged had already tried some drugs and wanted to know more about. Even after the end of the event and the group photo, some adolescents were coming to the lecturers to have answers to their specific questions.
