All the 106 volunteers of the Dico No Alla Droga (Say No To Drugs) associations of Bergamo, Brescia, Catania, Como, Milano, Modena, Monza, Novara, and Roma, were in actions to celebrate this 2017  U.N. International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.  All the possible ways to inform the youth and public were used: distribution of booklets The Truth About Drugs (16,000 were distributed for this occasion), projection of PSAs*: They said, They lied, (in a cinema of Modena during the whole week),  signatures for a drug-free life pledge, etc.

The goal is to dispel myths by presenting the facts about the effects, both short-term and long-term, of the 10 most used drugs, thus empowering young people and the public to make their own decision to live drug-free. With prevention, drugs are not an invincible plague!

Foundation for a Drug-Free Europe was formed in March 2004 with the firm purpose of preventing and stopping debilitating drug use through educating non-users concerning the harmful effects that drugs can inflict upon the body, mind and personality, and by finding and directing existing users to programmes that can help them achieve comfortable abstinence for life.
