To celebrate the UN International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, and in support of the declaration made by the UNODC Executive Director, Mr. Yuri Fedotov, the Say No To Drug team of volunteers of Geneva decided to do an extensive prevention action to sensibilize the youth and their parents on the harmful effects of drug use.

They got a great support from the shopkeepers of the city whom, being themselves parents, want to protect and prevent the youth to fall in the dwindling spiral of the drug. And to remind to each person that there is no “soft drugs”.

The SNTD team distributed no less that 10,000 booklets The Truth About Drugs that was shared between a booth set up in the Molard area , in direct contact with the passer-bys, and 600 shopkeepers.

Eager to better inform the Swiss public on the importance of this Day, the volunteers at the booth were interviewed by :
