To celebrate the U.N. International day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Say No To Drugs (Sag Nein Zu Drogen) team of Vienna set up their booth in the Wien Praterstern which is a major square located in the Leopoldstadt area of Vienna. In proximity you will find also the famous column to Admiral Wilhelm von Tegetthoff, the Praterstern railway station and the U-Bahn U1 and U2.

In Austria, the World Drug report 2018 shown that among the 15-64 years old, about 10% of the females are using tranquilizers (8% of males) but 8% of maleen are using cannabis

Focusing on prevention the team of volunteers was distributing to the youth, parents and public their booklet The Truth About Drugs, providing the basic vital information they have to know to make the right decision about the harmful effects of drugs. The volunteers were also offering to anyone the possibility to express their thoughts by painting!
