Italy, starting in February, had the Covid-19 pandemic lock down as in the whole world. So, the schools cancelled all the appointments made for the drug prevention conferences. Despite this, to continue the drug prevention education the Dico No Alla Droga (Say No To Drugs ) team leader of Italy started to organize prevention conferences via the web.

In March and April were held 12 conferences reaching more than 800 people including Opinion leaders, school children, law enforcement agencies, teachers and various Italian associations.
Thus, so far, as a result of the outflow:
-11 schools have asked for their conferences,
-6 municipalities want to apply the Truth About Drugs campaign,
-3 sports associations as well and,
-members of law enforcement agencies such as:
firefighters, local police, traffic police and carabinieri want their materials. Due to these web camapigns, 7 additional volunteers were recruited. They want to help them to forward this drug prevention purpose. In addition, the President of the Islamic Association of Modena has followed the lectures of several conferences and wants to collaborate with the Association to make all the youth and people of his association getting these very important notions.

Thanks to these conferences, they had collaborations with two radios, one local that gave the Bergamo Drug Prevention President an interview via Zoom video-conference, and one national (Radio Bruno) that broadcasted their advertisements on the webradio.

Moreover, some Dico No Alla Droga volunteers made themselves available to their municipality and distributed food and medicines to the elderly.

In addition, it is two Sundays now that a group of 4/5 volunteers take walks in the mountains around, promoting The Truth About Drugs prevention education materials campaign to enthusiastic hikers and in the mountain shelters.
