The Foundation for a Drug Free Europe (FDFE) Representative (Operations Office in Brussels-Belgium) and the Say No To Drugs Belgium (SNTD.Be) President had been invited to participate to the online 19-20 May 2021 Scientific-practical Conference:

“HEALTHY EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF MODERN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS: CHALLENGES, SEARCHES, TRENDS”. 

The event was organized by the Institute of Child and Adolescent Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (ICAH NAMS), the head being the Professor Danylenko G.

 

 

19 May – 10:00 -14:00,  14 speakers                                                                                                 Welcome Words by Professor Danylenko G., The Moderator was Dr. Shcherbakova O.                    The languages of the Conference were: Ukrainian, Russian and English.

Christian Mirre (FDFE)

On 20 May,the third speaker was the Representative of the FDFE. The title of his 20 min presentation in English with Ukrainian subtitles was:                                                                                                   The Youth in a World of Drugs – Children, Education and Cannabis                                                     The different parts developed and illustrated were:                                                                               1. Introduction, the drug problem in Europe, the FDFE and the European Say No To Drugs                 2. The brain, target of psychoactive drugs                                                                                             3.The Cannabis                                                                                                                                       4. The Endocannabinoid System                                                                                                               5. Primary Preventive Education is Vital, role of international organizations and civil society                 6. Final Words, The Drug Prevention.

Julie Delvaux (SNTD.Be)

The FDFE  presentation was followed by the SNTD.Be 15 min presentation, made by its President. The title was: Drugs: What Can Be Done About It?                                                                              The points stressed on were:                                                                                                    1.Introduction                                                                                                                                          2. Why drugs?                                                                                                                                            3. About health;                                                                                                                                        4. SNTD.Be activities, the different educative Truth About Drugs materials;                              5.Testimonies;                                                                                                                                         6. Conclusion.

The next 20 min presentation was made under the Ukrainian association: Healthy Nation Movement . There were 3 speakers. The general title was:                                                                           Cooperation with the United Nations, International and by State Organizations Within the International Program The Truth About Drugs in Ukraine.                                                                        The concerned points were respectively developed by:                                                                         —The Chairman of the Board of the NGO Healthy Nation Movement;                                                       -The Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Institute of Problems of Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine;                                                                                                        – The Head of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The two days of the Conference were very informative and centered on the protection, education and wellbeing of the child, and the responsibility of the living environment and institutions to ensure this happened.
