To forward the principles of the Convention of the Rights of the Child (1998) as well as the 2016 UNGASS Outcome Document, the Switzerland German Part Team Sag Nein Zu Drogen, Sag Ja Zum Leben (Say No to Drugs Say Yes To Life) carried on with its actions of prevention with the educative materials The Truth About Drug they broadly distribute to the youth and parents on their booths. They were present during the annual SlowUp* event around the Lake of Sempach, but also they use the opportunity of the World Health Day to set up a booth at the main station of Luzern and to hold an info stand in Zurich, to remind to the public at large that the drugs are psychoactive substances that have the potential to harm individuals’ health and lead to societal harm.
In addition they are always available to inform youth and students by interactive lectures made in schools.
(*)The idiomatic “slowUp” is an artificial word and abbreviation for “slow down” and “pleasure up”. This is a car-free mass sports event that takes place several times a year in different regions of Switzerland, in the Swiss-German and Swiss-French border areas and in Liechtenstein. For this purpose, a Sunday, is created a car-free circuit, on a distance of 25 to 60 kilometers reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and skaters and non-motorized private transports.
