This happened this past October 2022. This is the contribution of volunteers of different local teams of the national Say No To Drugs France, located in Paris. The volunteers involved in this drug prevention activity were on the ground, handing their booklets from the The Truth About Drugs series, or their flyers, distributing them in letter-boxes, visiting shopkeepers such as bakeries, pharmacies, bars, driving schools, associations, and more. They were also ready to inform the youth, parents, educators, civil servants, met at their booths or to deliver seminars and lectures anytime no matter the number, age or profession of the public.
This way there were present in cities and suburbs, towns and villages such as: Angers, Auch, Baillet-en-France, Bordeaux, Bouffemont, Cahors, Capbreton, Clermont-Ferrand, Courpiere, Lyon, Marseille, Monsoult, Montauban, Paris, Pau, Ravel, Sarcelles, St Dier, Toulouse, Villeurbane, also in the Basque, Brittany and Pyrenees countries, and more.
They too often met with youth complaining that the drug problem is not seriously treated in schools, teachers saying that the children are increasingly consuming medical drugs (as Ritalin) and others illicit drugs, health practitioners reporting that drug use is also involved in familial violence, sexual abuse and incestuous relationship. They received many acknowledgments for their action including from former and even current users.
The French volunteers distributed this month of October some: –7675 booklets The Truth About Drugs (La Vérité sur la drogue) -3950 flyers “What you are not told about Drugs” (Ce qu’on ne vous dit pas sur les drogues)
