On September 29th and 30th, 2019 our friends from the Say No To Drugs (SNTD) Team from Athens were invited to participate to the Program organized during the Annual Volunteering Festival of Greece(*) together with 80 other Greek voluntary organisations.
A booth with prevention education materials from the Foundation Drug Free World(*) was set up and on the Sunday Workshop (13:00-14:00) a lecture on The Truth About Drugs had been delivered to the public with great success and excellent feed back.
Thus, hundreds of visitors were informed on the devastating effects of drugs on human beings and on the need of early prevention education to protect the youth, the most vulnerable, against the harmful effects of the drugs.
Our team received a great number of compliments and congratulations for their educational actions from parents, young people, educators and other volunteers. And they collected a significant number of people’s signatures against drugs legalization.
Finally, the SNTD Greek team was awarded by the organizers with the Silver Medal for their informative and educational actions to tackle the drug problem in Greece!
