Greece Says No To Drugs

Greece Says No To Drugs_0332The Volunteers of No To Drugs Greece have  done an exceptional work. More than 130.000 “The Truth About Drugs”  booklets were distributed to the Greek citizens, in crowded places with the recipients asking for more information and many originating their volunteer participation in this movement.

More than 13.000 businesses hosted the “Truth About Drugs” booklets and posters, giving the opportunity to their customers to find out The Truth About Drugs and protect their beloved ones and community from the dangers of drugs.

One of the biggest public radio stations in Greece hosted an interview, where the dangers of new synthetic drugs and marijuana were stressed out, and local newspapers published our press releases.

Drug prevention lectures were given to almost 1.000 people, who were informed about the dangers of drugs, and, special importance was given to legal drugs and cannabis. The attendees gave feedback as “This was not just a prevention lecture but lessons for life. I can use these data to help my friends stay away from drugs.”

Another Student wrote: “You helped me stop drugs, thank you so much, with these data I can pull my friends out of drugs as well. Please continue your exceptional work!”. This is why the Citizen’s Initiative for a Drug Free Greece continues disseminating the Truth About Drugs, to everyone without exceptions!  A Drug Free Greece can be done!

Foundation for a Drug-Free Europe was formed in March 2004 with the firm purpose of preventing and stopping debilitating drug use through educating non-users concerning the harmful effects that drugs can inflict upon the body, mind and personality, and by finding and directing existing users to programmes that can help them achieve comfortable abstinence for life.
